An incomplete Roman copper alloy bracelet dating to cAD 300 to 400. The bracelet is formed of a strip of copper alloy which has been bent into an irregular U-shape. One end is complete and narrows to catch and the other finishes in a straight, patinated break. The catch is formed of a hook; the hook is narrower than the main bracelet with a thin initial section then a thickened terminal which is round in plan and triangular in profile with the upper edge of the triangle slightly hooked over. A fragment of a Roman copper alloy brooch. Only the foot and catchplate remain. The bow thins and narrows evenly to the pointed foot. Close to the break in the bow is a small circular indentation and the foot is slightly thickened although vary narrow, with two transverse notches. The catchplate is complete with a circular hole drilled through the centre. The piece measures 29.0mm, 5.75mm in width, 3.95mm in thickness and weighs 3.63g. An incomplete Roman copper alloy disc brooch dating to between c.AD 200-350. The circular frame has a slight rim around the outer edge which probably held a decorative infill of glass or enamel. There is a small indentation in the centre. The back is plain with part of the attachment lug and catchplate but the pin is missing. The brooch measures 24.18mm in diameter, 1.67mm in thickness and weighs 3.31g. This type of brooch is illustrated in Bayley & Butcher (2004:177) Fig 152.
