A Roman copper alloy radiate of Carausius (AD 286-293) dating to the period AD 286-293 (Reece Period 14). P[R]OVDE[NTIA AVG?] reverse type depicting Providentia standing left holding scales and cornucopiae. Mint unclear, but probably S P // - . There is no matching piece in Sam Moorhead's corpus for RIC for either S P // - or S P // C series. Given the mis-spelling in the reverse legend and the use of an Aequitas / Moneta type, it appears that this piece is irregular. However, the obverse is of reasonable style.
