An Early Medieval to Medieval copper alloy mount, probably a book, casket or strap fitting, dating to c. AD 1000-1200. The fitting consists of a short sub-trapezoidal sectioned bar of copper alloy truncated by a very worn break at one end and expanding outwards into a trapezoidal plate at the other.
