A Roman copper alloy Polden hill brooch, probably dating to AD 80-120. The brooch is largely complete, missing only its sprung pin. Transverse, semi-cylindrical wings project from the head of the brooch, these are open at the reverse and closed by perforated wing caps at either end. A Roman copper alloy plate brooch, probably dating to AD 80-250. The brooch consists of a circular plate divided into three concentric fields by moulded borders, that at the centre being widest. Traces of enamel are retained within the outer two fields; that contained within the outermost is dark blue, within the middle it alternates between red and yellow. A Roman copper alloy plate brooch, probably dating to c. AD 100-200. The surviving fragment consists of the upper bow only, with the foot and catchplate being lost to an old break. The bow of the brooch is plano-convex in cross section, with slightly convex sides, tapering into the head and lost foot. The surviving section of the bow is highly arched in profile.
