A complete copper alloy annular brooch dating to the medieval period (AD 1200 - AD 1400). The brooch is circular in shape with a rectangular cross-section and narrowed recess for the pin. The upper surface is decorated with a continuous wavy line (also known as wriggle work), which has small punched triangles extending outwards from both sides of the line. The pin is wrapped around the recess with a wire collar below. Both the pin and frame are slightly bent. The metal is worn and mid green in colour. The upper edge has a pointed extension on one side, possibly representing a break around a rivet hole. The lower terminal shows some traces of raised moulding, which possibly formed a zoomorphic design.
