A complete copper alloy annular brooch dating to the medieval period (AD 1200 - AD 1400). The brooch is circular in shape with a rectangular cross-section and narrowed recess for the pin. The upper surface is decorated with a continuous wavy line (also known as wriggle work), which has small punched triangles extending outwards from both sides of the line. The pin is wrapped around the recess with a wire collar below. Both the pin and frame are slightly bent. The metal is worn and mid green in colour. An incomplete copper alloy crossbow brooch dating to the Roman period (AD 320 - AD 400). The brooch consists of one wing and the curved upper section of the bow, the rest of the brooch is missing. An axis bar has survived in the left wing, with a central slot to the reverse allowing a pin to be looped around the bar. The pin is now missing. The upper edge has a pointed extension on one side, possibly representing a break around a rivet hole. The lower terminal shows some traces of raised moulding, which possibly formed a zoomorphic design.
