An incomplete copper alloy flat enamelled disc brooch dating to the Roman period (AD 80 - AD 250). The brooch is circular and flat, with part of the outer edge missing. The decoration consists of a raised, central ring encircled by sixteen pellets. This is then surrounded by a pointed star, with a minimum of thirteen points (and likely sixteen originally). This is all enclosed in a plain, raised border. Overall the design is sometimes referred to as a 'sunburst' or 'starburst' motif. No enamel has survived.
