Roman copper alloy brooch of Colchester derivative, Harlow spring System of 1st century AD date. The brooch is fragmentary, represented by the head and upper-bow only (with a surviving length of 20.0mm, a surviving depth of 9.7mm and a weight of 5.6g). The spring remains in place secured round a single, central pierced lug. The lug secures both the copper alloy axis bar and the chord.
