Medieval copper alloy probable buckle plate of 12th to 15th century date The buckle plate is near-complete but is distorted and the frame is missing (with a distorted length of 31.2mm, a width of 35.5mm and a weight of 8.8g). The sheet plate (0.5mm thick) is of folded form with a slot for the pin. The front plate is rectangular and was secured to the strap with three rivets (5.0mm - 5.5mm long), with domed heads raised above the plate.
