Medieval copper alloy buckle frame with separate plate of mid-12th to 14th century date The buckle is represented by the oval frame and the fragmentary sheet plate but is missing the pin (with an overall length of 38.7mm and a weight of 3.4g). The buckle frame (with a length of 16.4mm and a weight of 2.2g) is of ornate outside edge type. The outside edge is expanded and of rectangular section (4.3mm wide and 3.6mm thick) and decorated on the front with ribbed mouldings and grooves.
