Roman lead alloy bow brooch of Colchester derivative Polden Hill (flat wing ends type, hinged pin, West Midlands) and of 1st or 2nd century AD date.The brooch is incomplete, missing the leg, catch-plate and pin (with a surviving length of 36.6mm, a surviving depth of 13.5mm and a weight of 24.3g). The missing pin was hinged within, closed tubular wings (with a width of 25.1mm) around a non-ferrous axis bar, possibly copper alloy. There is a discernible line where the wing seams meet. Copper alloy bow brooch of Wirral Type and of 2nd century AD date The brooch is fragmentary, represented by the head and upper bow only (with a surviving length of 37.1mm, a surviving depth of 13.2mm and a weight of 10.0g). Roman copper alloy bow brooch of Trumpet type and of 1st to 2nd century AD date The brooch is near complete, missing the spring and pin (with a length of 57.8mm, a depth of 24.0mm and a weight of 30.0g). The missing spring was secured around a central, pierced lug with the chord beneath and the rear of the head is concave.
