Medieval lead cloth seal The seal is of uncertain form and the fragmentary remains of two discs are represented, now oval (with a surviving, length of 18.7mm, a surviving width of 13.0mm, a depth of 4.0mm and a weight of 4.3g). The face has a partial inscription preserved: EDWA[ ], indicating Edward, within a beaded border and the device at the centre has a trefoil at the apex, possibly a component of a crown but little of the device now survives.

Lead steelyard weight probably of Roman date The lead weight is of biconical form and has lost the iron suspension loop (with a surviving length of 42.5mm). The remains of iron wire are evident at the apex . The weight is of irregular, sub-circular section and is widest around its midsection (with a diameter of 40.3mm - 44.3mm). Although the surface is heavily-corroded, no ribbed decoration is discernible on the surface of the weight. Post medieval lead vessel probably of 17th or 18th century The vessel is near-complete with some peripheral damage and is of D-shaped form (with a weight of 210.5g). The mouth (60.7mm wide and 35.9mm long) has a stepped moulding (with a depth of 7.3mm - 13.9mm and 5mm thick) on the curved part only. One of the corners is higher (giving a maximum overall height of 34.5mm) and has a spout-like form. The interior of the vessel is uneven (28mm deep). The rear and underside of the vessel are flat, with no obvious means of attachment. The surface has a grey patina with white corrosion. …
