Late medieval to early post medieval copper alloy thimble of open type or 'sewing-ring' of mid-15th to late-16th century date
The thimble is complete but has impact damage on its tope edge (with a length of 10.0mm and a weight of 2.7g). The sides are bevelled towards the base (with internal diameters at the apex and base of 15.0mm and 17.4mm respectively) and has four rows of punched, circular indentations, now worn and corroded. The object comprises a fragmentary and distorted circular disc of sheet metal (with a maximum distorted diameter of 34.2mm, a thickness of 0.1mm and a weight of 2.4g). The rear has what appears to be an integral catch-plate adjacent to the edge (with a depth of 7.8mm and a length of 6.2mm). There is the possible suggestion that the plate has broken across a central hole. There is no decoration evident on the surface but there appears to be remnants of tinned or silvered surface on the front of plate. Else…

Medieval copper alloy belt mount of mid to late 14th century date
The mount is of domed, sexfoil form, secured with a single separate rivet through a central hole, now missing (with a maximum width of 13.8mm, an overall depth of 3.9mm, a thickness of 0.1mm and a weight of 0.5g). Each the petals of the sexfoil are formed by pressed radiating grooves. The centre is raised with a circular aperture (of 1.7mm diameter) to accommodate the missing rivet. The surface has a dark-green patina.
