Post medieval copper alloy trade weight of mid-17th to early 18th century date
The weight is stamped with a crowned W, probably for William III, a sword and ewer for London. The weight now weighs 12.0g, equivalent to 0.4232 ounces and would originally have been a half-ounce weight. There is comparatively large void within the weight from a casting flaw. The surface has a mid to dark green patina.
