Fragment of silver decorative mount, broken top and bottom. The outline has the superficial resemblance to spoon handle terminals, but the figurative decoration is the wrong way round, and the cast is hollow on the reverse and clearly intended to sit against a flat surface.
The mount has a tapering form, widest the base of the main motif. This has the form of a crowned reliquary bust of a female saint with long hair, facing forward. The gun is near-complete but has some damage around the barrel and appears to have been cast in one-piece (with a length of 43mm and a weight of 9.70g). The gun has a rounded cascabel and a prominent concave vent field (10.2mm diameter) with a comparatively large vent. Roman copper alloy bow brooch of uncertain type and of 1st or 2nd century AD date
The brooch is fragmentary, missing the head and catch-plate and is heavily-corroded (with a surviving length of 45.0mm, a surviving depth of 7.5mm and a weight of 2.4g). The head is lost and was of uncertain form with a V-slot on the rear. The arched bow is slender with straight sides, gradually converging to the eroded and pointed foot (with a width and thickness at the head of 4.0mm and 2.4mm respectively). Post medieval lead cloth seal of late 16th to early 17th century date
The seal is of two-part form and is incomplete missing some of the an area of the perforated disc (with a diameter of 24.4mm, a thickness of 3.9mm and a weight of 5.3g). The obverse face has a crowned shield, quartered with three fleur-de-lys devices and three lions, passant in opposing quarters. The detail on the dexter part of the shield has been lost. The shield and crown are in a beaded border with a legend, now indecipherable. The only part of the legend that can be read on the seal:

Medieval copper alloy oval buckle with separate plate, probably of mid-14th to 16th century date
The buckle comprises the oval frame (24.2mm long and 27.1mm wide) with separate folded sheet plate (33.3mm long, 15.8mm wide and 1.4mm thick). The buckle has an expanded outside edge (5.5mm wide and 4.5mm thick), which in convex (8.6mm deep) and has a notch for the pin. The sides are also convex and the bar is offset and narrowed.
