The mirror case is near-complete, comprising both halves of the case, connected by a hinge (with an overall length of 42.8mm and a weight of 13.3g) but with one side having a corroded hole through the face. The case has a hinge, which is still operational, comprising double perforated lugs (6.1mm deep, 5.2mm long, 5.1mm wide) flanking a single lug and with a copper alloy axis bar. The spoon is near-complete but is without the organic parts of the handle and the end of the bowl is damaged (with a length of 113.1mm and a weight of 48.4g). The bowl is of fig-shaped form (51.8mm long, 44.2mm wide, 12mm deep and 1.3mm - 3.0mm thick) with a rounded end and the top edge has a slight concavity. Medieval copper alloy belt mount of mid to late 14th century date
The mount is of domed, sexfoil form, secured with a single separate rivet through a central hole, now missing (with a maximum width of 13.8mm, an overall depth of 3.9mm, a thickness of 0.1mm and a weight of 0.5g). Each the petals of the sexfoil are formed by pressed radiating grooves. The centre is raised with a circular aperture (of 1.7mm diameter) to accommodate the missing rivet. The surface has a dark-green patina.
