Early Bronze Age flint arrowhead of Barbed and Tanged type (c. 2500 -1800BC)
The arrowhead is near-complete (with a length of 28.6mm, a width across the barbs of 15.1mm, a maximum thickness of 3.4mm and a weight of 1.2g), missing the end of the tip and is made on a convex flake. The flint is non-cortical and has differential pale-grey patination. The dorsal surface has extensive pressure-flaking while the ventral surface has a retouched edge and is gently convex.
