The surviving piece is sub-rectangular in plan, retaining only its straight right-hand side, and with irregular breaks on the other three sides. A rim sherd from a copper-alloy plate or dish, dating from the post-Medieval period. The wall of the vessel forms an angle of approximately 45 degrees, with the rim itself being around 20 degrees. A moulded ridge, flanked by a pair of grooves, is located on the outer face of the vessel, near the base of the rim. On the inner wall there are two light grooves, which may be evidence of lathe finishing. Jagged edges form the three broken sides of the piece.

A medieval to post-Medieval copper-alloy thimble. A plain band extends around the base of the near-vertical wall of the thimble, which is otherwise covered with rows of sub-circular indentations. A spiral pattern of such indentations covers the slightly convex crown. Several similar thimbles were found in excavations at Southwark, mostly in layers dating from the late 15th to 17th centuries (Egan 2005: 131-133).

A copper-alloy double-loop buckle, dating from the post-Medieval period. The symmetrical frame has two D-shaped sides, each with a wider pin rest, flanked by a pair of points and decorated with moulded scrollwork. Adhering to the central axis bar is iron corrosion and a fragment of the pin. Each end of this bar is marked by a pointed lobe. Traces of a black substance coat the surface of the frame.

A copper-alloy post-medieval double-looped buckle frame, complete, and with the loop of the broken pin surviving in place on the bar (c. 16th century). The pin bar extends beyond the sides in short, angled lobes, with recesses to each side which emphasise them. Part of a late medieval to early post-Medieval copper-alloy single-loop buckle. The frame is broadly D-shaped, extending to a pointed pin rest and having heavily filed surfaces that slope downwards and outwards. Two stepped prongs extend backwards from the inner end of the frame and represent the remains of the spacers to which the now-missing plates would have been soldered. A fragment of a Roman Colchester-derivative brooch, dating from the 1st century AD. Only the head and upper part of the bow survive, with a well worn and patinated break at the base of the piece. The wings have a C-shaped cross section, with a double-perforated lug at the centre, which would have held the now-missing spring's axis bar and external chord.The remaining portion of the bow has straight sides which converge towards the break, and a central ridge extends downwards from the head's perforated lug.

A copper-alloy frame from a medieval single-loop buckle. The majority of the D-shaped frame has a triangular cross section, but the offset axis bar has an oval section with central pin constriction. The pin, which has been looped around this constriction, has been made from a flattened and tapering length of copper-alloy wire, the tip curved downwards to fit the shape of the frame. The surfaces of the frame retain traces of a black coating.
