A probable Roman copper alloy sestertius, probably of Claudius (AD 41-54), probably SPES AVGVSTA, S C, Spes advancing left. Mint of Rome. RIC I, pp. 128 & 130, cf. nos. 99 & 115. No detail is legible due to wear and corrosion, but the reverse appears to have a standing figure, possibly Spes. Diameter: 33.07mm. Thickness: 4.09mm. Weight: 17.59g.
