An incomplete Medieval to Post Medieval cast copper alloy cauldron leg, dating to between AD 1200 and AD 1800. The leg has an old break, and is D shaped in cross-section. The foot has a smooth, rounded design below a bulbous collar. The reverse side is flat and plain. The surface is worn and abraded, of a pale olive colour with areas of green patina and traces of black residue or lacquer. A copper-alloy dress fitting, a post-medieval clasp from a neck stock. The fitting is one half of a 'hasp and clasp' type. It consists of a rectangular plate that is thicker along the centre of the longer sides and tapers towards the shorter sides, giving the short sides a slightly D shaped cross-section. Along one long edge are evenly spaced holes for three fungiform rivets, two of which are missing; one remains in situ. The opposite long edge has a broad, integral rounded hook at its centre.
