A complete copper alloy medieval to post medival strap fitting or button. The head of the fitting is biconvex in shape, and each half of the head has eight flat sides. There is a central knop on the top of the head. The stem and loop are integral and extend from the flat back of the head. The stem is rectangular in cross section, and widens slightly towards the loop.The loop is circular and measures 4.1mm in diameter. There is no decoration on the fitting, which has a dark green patina. The fitting measures 24.8mm in length, and 10.9mm in diameter. The stem measures 13.9mm in length, …

An incomplete Medieval copper alloy (c.1270-1350) single plate strap end with hook. The plate is rectangular and has three rivet holes longitudinally arranged. Extending from one of the short ends is a curved hook which terminates in an old break as it begins to curve. One rivet hole is close to the hook-end; the rivet here is still in place. The other two rivets are situated at the other end of the plate; one is still in place and retains a sheet rove while that flanking the short edge is missing. There is no decoration on the strap end. An incomplete copper alloy post-medieval (1500-1700) strap fitting, with the incomplete stumps (old breaks) of two integral attachment spikes to the reverse. The fitting is shaped like an acorn, with grooves decorating the 'cup' in a cross hatch pattern. A transverse rib separates the 'cup' from the 'nut'. A late post-medieval to early modern (1600-1900) two-part strap fitting, consisting of a copper alloy ring attached to a sheet metal strap of indeterminate metal (probably a copper alloy), secured with three corroding iron rivets. The ring is circular in shape and hexagonal in cross section. It has a smooth green patina. The plate is rectangular in shape but cut inwards where it wraps around the ring. A post medieval (1500-1700) copper alloy strap fitting with a pair of integral prongs on the reverse, both bent outwards. The mount is flat and oval in shape with a worn trefoil knop extending from both long edges. There is no decoration on the surface or the reverse of the mount. All original patina is missing to the front and the metal is now a red/ purple-brown in colour. The reverse has a dark green/ black surface, rough with silvery-coloured areas. A post-medieval (1500-1700) copper alloy sword belt fitting, incomplete in so far as it is missing its rivet. The object comprises a triangular plate with rounded corners at the short edge, a rounded knop (flat to the reverse) extending from the third corner and a trefoliate terminal extending from the centre of the short edge. A copper alloy medieval strap loop. The strap loop is trapezoidal in shape and has a central integral external rivet (2.2mm in length) on the narrower side, which measures 10.1mm. The loop is flat on both faces, and has no decoration. The strap loop measures 11.4mm in width (top edge) and 9.9mm in length . The internal measurements are 7.7mm- 8.9mm. The thickness is 1.5mm. The weight is 0.56g. The loop is a dark green grey colour.

A copper-alloy medieval (1250-1400) bar-mount with pendent loop. The bar-mount is sheet copper alloy and 3.7mm wide, narrowing to 1.9mm wide and curving back on itself when it extends into a rectangular plate fixed to the front of the bar with a rivet c.1mm in diameter - this holds the pendent loop. The pendent loop (11.7mm diameter, internal 4.9mm)) is very worn at its point of attachment. There are tooling marks to the reverse. The object measures 18.7mm in length, 11.7mm in max.width, 2.6mm in depth and weighs 0.74g.

A medieval (1350-1400) copper alloy rectangular strap loop with a seperate rivet, which is missing. The loop measures 12.5mm by 11.7mm, is 2.0mm thick and weighs 0.64g. Its internal minimum width is 10.0mm. The strap loop is similar to Egan (1991) 232, no. 1247, which was found in a context dated 1350-1400.

A medieval (1200-1400) copper alloy bar-mount with pendent loop, of a different copper alloy. The bar mount is solid with central and terminal lobes. Between the lobes are thin bands of transverse grooves. The central lobe (5.87mm diameter, 1.65mm thick) has a central circular hole 2.47mm in diameter. The terminal lobes contain an in situ rivet each. From one of these lobes a 2.60mm wide projection extends and curves back on itself to hold the rivet, expanding to a pentagonal terminal.
