A complete copper alloy medieval to post medival strap fitting or button. The head of the fitting is biconvex in shape, and each half of the head has eight flat sides. There is a central knop on the top of the head. The stem and loop are integral and extend from the flat back of the head. The stem is rectangular in cross section, and widens slightly towards the loop.The loop is circular and measures 4.1mm in diameter. There is no decoration on the fitting, which has a dark green patina. The fitting measures 24.8mm in length, and 10.9mm in diameter. The stem measures 13.9mm in length, …

A complete medieval copper alloy buckle with composite plate. The buckle frame is oval in shape, with the outer edge widening and forming a triangular point in the centre. The outer edges of the frame are bevelled, and the frame is triangular in cross section. The forked spacer is covered by a rectangular copper alloy sheet folded over. This measures 13.1mm by 14.4mm. It has a central notch close to the pin bar for the pin to sit in. At the attachment end there is rectangular recess with iron corrosion in. A copper alloy ring of uncertain date, from the Earliest Iron Age to the post-medieval period (c. 800 BC - AD 1800). It is sub circular in shape, the inside edge being more of an oval shape. The ring is flat and rectangular in cross section. The inner edge of the ring is bevelled. The width of the ring varies from 2.2mm to 3.9mm. The narrower parts of the ring are directly opposite suggesting that the ring was used to attach or hold something and has worn at this point. Two copper alloy studs or hob nails, found close together. The heads are conical in shape and c.4mm long, being slightly concave to the underside from where the square-sectioned shank extends. All have smooth, shiny patinas of mid to light green in colour. 1) 8.7mm diameter head, 12.5mm length, 1.03g weight 2) 9.6mm diameter head, 10.2mm length (the shank is curved). 1.06g weight Usually made of iron, hob nails of similar form often date to the Roman or post-medieval period. These two studs were found close to three others - see record HAMP-68F821.

A fragment of a copper alloy La Tène III type, Nauheim derivative brooch dating from the 1st century BC to 1st century AD. The fragment consists of the upper part of the bow and part of the spring. The bow is sub rectangular in shape, thin and slightly convex. The bow narrows slightly towards the lower half and ends in an old break. A Late Medieval/ Early Post-Medieval Venetian silver soldino of Doge Leonardo Loredan (1501-1521). It is worn and has a die axis of 8. On the reverse to the left of the figure there is an 'X' scratched onto the coin. During the 15th and 16th centuries the English economy experienced a serious shortage of English-struck halfpennies. In order to fill this gap people began using foreign coinage such as the soldino, meaning 'little shilling', which entered into English currency through Venetian traders.

An incomplete copper alloy medieval diamond- or square-shaped brooch, missing its pin. The frame is decorated with a border of punched rings running along the centre of each edge. These edges are bevelled and trapezoidal in cross-section. On one inside corner of the frame is a hole where the pin would have been attached; on the reverse is the remains of an iron rivet. An incomplete medieval or post-medieval copper alloy double loop annular buckle, missing its pin. The buckle is decorated with moulded scalloping around the outer edge which is c.4.4mm wide. The moulded decoration resembles five flower petals. The central pin bar is narrower at 1.9mm and is sub triangular in cross section. The buckle has a brown green patina. The buckle measures 27.3mm in length, 24.8mm in width, and is 2.2mm thick. The buckle weighs 4.11g. The buckle is similar to Whitehead 1996, p.39 nos. 272 and 273, which he dates from c.1450-1550.

An incomplete post-medieval (c.1500-1800) iron Jew's harp missing the tongue and part of one of the prong-like arms (old break). The harp consists of a rounded C-shaped end which extends to two prongs, which would have rested in the mouth. There is a groove on the centre of the rounded end where the tongue would have attached. It is lozenge shaped in cross section. The iron of the harp is corroded, and is a dark orangey brown colour. The harp measures 60.8mm in length, 31.6mm in width, and is 7.3mm at maximum thickness. The prongs measure 36.2mm and 20.8mm in length. The harp weighs 19.55g.

A post medieval apparently uniface lead alloy token of Powell Type 3, dating from 1550 to 1800 AD. One side is decorated with eight equidistant arms radiating from the centre, creating a cartwheel pattern. The token has been damaged and has a fold in the centre. The reverse is probably undecorated. The token is an irregular circular shape with uneven edges. It is a white-grey colour. The token measures 24.4mm in length, 21.7mm in width, 3.1mm in thickness and weighs 7.69g.

A copper alloy handle from a post-medieval object, probably a saucer-type candle-holder. The object is circular in shape with three roughly equidistant mouldings to the outside surface. Two of these are pointed triangular (in side view) projections, one of which has a worn break at its point. The other is a flat sub-oval or 'shield' shaped plate. There is no decoration on the handle. It measures 26.9mm in length, 28.2mm in width, 6.0mm in height and weighs 7.81g. The diameter of the centre of the handle is 20.7mm.
