Early to Middle Bronze age copper alloy flanged axehead, Length 62mm, width 17mm, thickness 11mm, weight 53.35g. The object is complete and in fair condition. It has a slightly damaged rounded blade. The object narrows from this point becoming rectangular in form and cross section. The body of the axe has rounded sides which expand upwards to form a flange along each long edge on both surfaces. The axe is very similar to NMS-370DE4.

A fragment of a sheet copper alloy Medieval or Post-Medieval strainer or skimmer. It is pierced with closely placed circular holes. Part of a curved outer edge survives suggesting that it had a fairly small diameter originally and was probably part of a handled skimmer. It has a fine green patina. Copper-alloy Post-Medieval knife handle terminal stop from a scale-tang knife. It is in the form of two outward facing animal heads (probably dogs). The snouts are pointed with a groove for the mouth. Above these are rounded heads with dots for eyes. A circumferential groove encircles the base. Iron corrosion product covers the base. Read (2001, 88, no.655) suggests a16th century date. There are several similar examples on the database including SOM-471CD5, HAMP-728F85 and IOW-765F43. Length 15mm, width 16mm, thickness 8mm, weight 7.61g.

Complete copper-alloy late Medieval buckle frame. The buckle is a single loop, D-shaped buckle with decorative knop extending from the curved edge. The knop has a single narrow collar and is flat on the reverse side. The strap bar is recesses and the pin is missing. Several similar examples are illustrated in the Meols report (Griffiths et al. 2007, 94, no.622ff). Length 21mm, width 14mm, thickness 2mm, weight 1.6g.

Early Medieval copper-alloy cruciform brooch fragment. Only the bow survives. This is sub-triangular in form with a ridge running longitudinally in the centre of the outer face and a transverse ridge, expanded slightly at either end, at the top where is ajoins the head. A small part of the flattened head plate remains, but most is missing. Simple cruciform brooches date to the 5th and 6th centuries AD (MacGregor and Bolick 1993, 95-6). A medieval, incomplete copper-alloy, double loop oval buckle frame.There is one loop present which is D-shaped in plan and trapezoidal in section.The top of the frame is flat with a bevelled outer edge. The reverse of the frame is flat. There are small sub-triangular knops on each end of the central bar. The remains of the pin is coiled around the outer edge of the frame. Copper-alloy unidentified object of unknown date. It is ovoid in form with one flat side. It is decorated with multiple transverse parallel grooves and a transverse ridge encircling each end. A fragment of a medieval copper-alloy purse bar. It is v-shaped in section and becomes narrower at one end. There is a pierced hole in one edge towards the wider end of the bar. There is a decoration of an engraved doubled grooved zig zag. A similiar example is illustrated by Margeson (1993: no. 290) and it is probably of 16th or 17th century date. Length 51mm, width 22mm, weight 8.48g.

A fragment of a copper-alloy double-loop buckle of post-Medieval date. One short outer edge and one long outer edge are present. The short edge consists of two semi-circular loops with a baluster moulding in the middle in which the pin would have sat. The long edge has a moulded decoration in the middle which consists of a semi-circular sphere with two transverse ribs either side and on either side of these a smaller semi-circular sphere.The reverse of the frame is flat and undecorated. A copper-alloy, double looped, trapezoidal Post Medieval buckle dating to AD 1620 - AD 1680. Half of the buckle frame and the central bar is present.The buckle frame is sub-rectangular and trapezoidal in plan, and trapezoidal in section with a bevelled outside edges and a flat surface. A bevelled triangular projection expands from the middle of the external edge of the frame, and there is a small triangular bevelled knop at either end of the central bar. The weight has angled sides and has four concentric grooves running around the diameter of one surface, which is also slightly concave. There is a shallow cavity in the centre with two pellets on its edge. The surface underneath is plain. It has a cream patina.
