Medieval or early post medieval copper-alloy harness pendant fragment, Length 38mm, width 24mm, thickness 4mm, weight 8.85grams. The object is sub rectangular in form and cross section and is incomplete. It has an incomplete integral suspenion loop set in a straight upper edge. One definate corner is present with the side tapering inwards, suggesting it was originally shield shaped. It is very worn and shows no sign of any surface decoration.

A copper-alloy horse harness pendant of Medieval date. Measuring 28mm long, 21mm wide, 2.5mm thick and weighing 4.29g.The object is a flat quatrefoil shape decorated with an embossed crescent in the centre and possible very worn mullets or six pointed stars in each lobe of the plate. The plate retains its integral suspension loop. the back is flat and undecorated and the surface of the pendant is corroded. Similar to SF-7127E1. For the design see Read (2016, 61) no. 444.

Medieval copper alloy and enamel, shield shaped harness pendant, with integral cast suspension loop which is off centre. The front surface of the shield has the remnants of red enamel which picks out one of three plantagenet lions forming the decoration. Length 45mm,width 26mm,thickness3mm ,weight 11.40g.

Medieval cast copper alloy horse harness pendant. The pendant is cross-shaped in plan and semicircular in cross-section, it has a domed front and flattened back. The centre of the cross is lozenge shaped and expands into three equal length arms that flare and rise at the end. The fourth arm of the cross is pointed and worn and would have contained the suspension loop. The surface is smooth and undecorated. Length 21mm, width 20mm, thickness 1mm, weight 2.78g. It is 14th century in date. It is similar to ESS-818A16. Clarke, J. 'The Medieval horse and its equipment' 1995, pg 67, pl 68.
