An incomplete copper-alloy Roman pin dating to the period AD 100-200, c.f. Crummy p.30 (Metal Pins Type 5). The pin is broken and bent out of shape towards the point, missing its tip. It has also suffered damage at points along the shaft. Overall the pin is 51.10mm in length. It has a flattened spherical head with two circumferential grooves on the shaft below it. A struck flint flake removed to prepare a core for knapping dating to the Neolithic Period (4000-2100 BC). There is cortex at both the proximal and distal ends. The dorsal face has three flake removal scars and is a range of colours including red-brown, medium grey and light grey. The ventral face is 50% patinated light grey, the rest being mottled medium grey with dark grey patches. There are spots of iron staining on both faces. Overall the flake measures 83.55x42.95x16.20mm and weighs 64g.

The artefact is circular in shape, 44.80mm in diameter, 2.30mm thick and weighs 20.09g. The obverse is flat and decorated with a five-petalled flower. A copper-alloy possible harness pendant possibly dating to the Iron Age or Roman Period (800 BC - AD 410). It is formed from a horseshoe-shaped arch terminating in two roundels. The two arms are connected to each other by a very curve arch and a much straighter arch. The space between is openwork. A shorter and narrower arch is attached by its arms to the apex of the main arch. The roundels are barrel-shaped with circumferential grooves decorating the sides and indentations in the ends. A copper-alloy Post-Medieval (1500-1600) knife end-cap or end-stop from a scale-tang knife in the form of two conjoined and near-symmetrical stylised horse's hooves. It measures 15.25x10.60x5.55mm and weighs 3.03g. Each half of the end-cap is sub-oval in cross-section and curves throughout its length. Each shoe is delineated by a transverse groove and one shoe has three punched dots in its face. At the base a narrow slot is filled with the remains of a corroded iron tang. A similar knife end cap is published and dated to about the 16th century by Read (2001, 88; ref: 652).

An incomplete copper-alloy Medieval (1100-1500) buckle plate, missing the buckle frame, the pin and half the plate. It consists of a flat broadly rectangular plate with two rivet holes in each of the corners at one end and a slot for the pin at the other. A Late Medieval/ Early Post-Medieval (1400-1550) copper-alloy closed/domed type thimble. The thimble has been partially flattened and now measures 19.40x29.70x11.70mm and weighs 4.42g. The ring has a spiral of small stamped circular pits arranged in 14 rows from the base to the centre of the dome at the top. There is a plain border around the rim. The fact that the pits extend all the way to the top suggest a later date, as does the spiral pattern.

It is in the shape of an irregular four-sided pyramid, with a near-flat base measuring 23.80mm x 22.40mm.
