An incomplete copper alloy Late Iron Age or Early Roman Colchester one-piece type brooch dating to the period c. AD 25 - 60. The pin and the spring mechanism are missing. The brooch measures 39.33mm in length, 11.71mm maximum width, 1.66mm minimum width, is 14.39mm thick and weighs 7.43g.

An incomplete copper alloy Roman T-shaped derivative brooch dating to the period c. AD 50 - 150. The pin, lower bow, foot and catchplate are missing. The brooch measures 29.48mm in length, 20.58mm maximum width, 6.74mm minimum width, is 8.76mm thick and weighs 6.71g.
The head exhibits incomplete cylindrical wings which house the remains of the copper alloy axis bar for the hinged pin mechanism. The wings are separated by a central pin slot. Directly above the pin slot is a projecting plate or tab whcih terminates in an old break.

A fragment of a copper alloy Bronze Age axehead dating to the period c. 1600 - 800 BC. The fragment is most likely to derive from a socketed axe. It is difficult to make a more precise classification due to the shape of the remaining fragment, however, it has been suggested that it is more likely to be a Late Bronze Age socketed axe due to the position of the break along the body and the shape of the blade. A Roman ceramic Samian ware vessel sherd dating to the period c. AD 100 - 150. The fabric is orange-red in colour. It is dense and has been hard fired. There are no visible inclusions. The sherd is coated in a dark orange-red slip. All breaks show a degree of abrasion. The sherd is liley to derive from the central Gaul production centre of Les Martres-de-Veyre.
In form, the sherd has a steeply curved profile and terminates in an old break just before the rim. It is likely to be part of a cup or small bowl.

A worn copper alloy Byzantinian Follis, probably of Tiberius Constantine (AD 578-582) overstruck on a coin of Justin II (AD 565-78), struck at Nicomedia.
The obverse of the coin appears to have the obverse of Justin II depicting the emperor on the left and his consort Sofia on the right, seated facing on a double throne, both nimbate. This has been overstruck by the reverse design of Tiberius Constantine depicting a large M flanked by A/N/N/O to the left and the regnal year to the right.

A lead weight of possible Roman to post medieval date (c. AD 43 - 1600). The weight is circular with a raised rim and the numerals IIII inscribed on the top. The underside of the weight exhibits a series of peck marks.
Biggs and Withers (2000, 15 - 16) discuss this form of weight and illustrate a similar example (no. 2). They note that a number of weights of similar style have been found at sites such as Chester Roman fort, however, not all have come from stratified context. A probable lead lid from a box of medieval date (c. AD 1300 - 1340). The object is a circular lead disc with a stamped design on one face depicting the arms of England (three lions passant guardant) surrounded by three palm branches. This is in turn surrounded by a collar which appears to contain foliate decoration and lettering, however, this is worn and indistinct. On the other side is a six petalled flower. The upper edge of the disc exhibits evidence of a relatively recent break, possibly indicating the position of a missing attachment tab or loop.

A post medieval copper alloy strap fitting in the form of a hooked mount dating to the period c. AD 1550 - 1650. The object has a rounded knop at the top with a central rivet hole containing the corroded remains of the iron rivet. Below this is a concavo-convex plate in the form of a shell with moulded ridges radiating from a cental point at the bottom to the top. The plate then narrows into a moulded collar and terminates in a rearward facing hook. On the back of the collar is an integrally cast lug.

A copper alloy dagger or sword chape of medieval to post medieval date (c. AD 1300 - 1600). The chape is comprised of a piece of sheet metal which has been folded and would have been joined at a vertical seam. The upper edge is scalloped, with several of the cusps bent or broken. Below the scalloped edge, on both sides is a pierced sewing hole and below this is an incised horizontal groove. Near the tip of the chape is a further groove. The base is flattened. The object has a mottled red-brown patina, with patches of light green corrosion product.

An incomplete post medieval copper alloy toy firearm dating to the period c. AD 1600 - 1700. The firearm is likely a musket or similar type of gun. It consists of an unevenly faceted barrel which is decorated with a series of transverse grooves and expands along its length. At the junction between the barrel and the stock is a small priming hole to fire the musket. This has a cast outer ridge running around two sides. The stock is triangular in shape and tapers into an old break. On the underside of the stock are the remains of the trigger loop.

The vessel leg measures 38.94mm in length, 33.99mm maximum width, 21.83mm minimum width, is 14.18mm thick and weighs 73.41g.

A post medieval lead alloy terminal, probably from a spoon, dating to the period c. AD 1600 - 1800. The terminal is domed at the top and is decorated with a series of vertical ridges radiating from the top to a collar. Below the collar, the shaft narrows and then expands into a double collar, before tapering to an old break. On either side of the object is a longitudinal casting seam.
The object measures 33.89mm in length, 15.47mm maximum width, 4.86mm minimum width, 12.92mm maximum thickness, 4.78mm minimum thickness and weighs 18.32g.
