A small medieval (1250-1450) copper alloy single oval buckle complete with pin. The frame is oval in plan and cross-section, with an expanded outer edge. The strap bar is narrowed, offset from the frame and circular in cross-section. There is a transverse groove at each edge of the frame where it meets the strap bar. The pin consists of a thin strip of copper alloy, rectangular in cross-section, which is curled around the bar and extends 13.3mm to a blunt point. An incomplete copper alloy Iron Age to Roman strip bow brooch dating to c. AD 25 - 75. The pin is missing but the head and catchplate are intact. The head, with its tubular wings to the reverse, is a maximum of 13.3mm wide and features a central slot, 4.5mm long, for the pin. To either side, near its base, is a groved and punched ring-and-dot motif. One of these has been largely obscured by (ancient) damage. A complete late medieval to early post-medieval copper alloy closed thimble, dating from 1400 - 1600. The thimble is fairly short, being 18.3mm tall, and has a domed apex with slightly flaring sides. The drilled, circular pits are arranged neatly in a spiral pattern starting from the top and continuing down the walls to the base. Running around the base is an incised border. The walls of the thimble have been slightly squashed, with the base diameter now measuring between 20.3mm and 18.7mm. The walls are 2.0mm thick and the thimble weighs 8.28g.

A copper alloy early-medieval pin dating to the 8th or 9th century AD. The pin has a large biconical head, flattened on top, with a moulded collar below. This biconical head is 9.3mm long with a maximum diameter of 9.2mm. Below the collar, the shank, which is circular in section (1.95mm diameter), extends c.15mm before bending at a 90 degree angle and extending a further 26mm to where it tapers to a point. The forked element is flat and rectangular in plan and consists of two prongs, stepped on the inside: one extends for 26.8mm while the other is incomplete and extends 14.6mm. The spacer has an elaborate accord knop terminal with a further collar dividing the acorn from the forked element. In total the object is 46.5mm long and 18.0mm wide.
