Iron arrowhead, medieval in date (c AD1200-1350). The arrow is roughly triangular shaped with damaged barbs and an internal socket for attaching to a shaft. There is a relief spine running up the centre on both sides. See Ottaway and Rogers pg 2968 for similar medieval arrowheads. The object is corroded and in poor condition.

A flint barb and tang arrow head, Early Bronze Agein date (c 2400-1500 BC). The lithic is sub-triangular in profile, with flaking scars on both the dorsal and ventral surfaces. The base has a rounded off projection to fit into a shaft. The flint is mid grey in colour.

Incomplete copper alloy Early to Mid Bronze age flat axe (c 2500-1200BC). The axe is sub-trapezoidal in plan. The butt end is missing. The cutting edge is curved and damaged and is 2.54mm thick. A casting seam can be seen down both edges. It is corroded with a dark brown patina with mid green patches.

A broken stone axehead dating to the Neolithic (c 4000-2500BC). The axe is sub-trapezoidal in plan with a convex curved faces. Both the butt end and cutting face have been knapped and reflaked, perhaps for a secondary use or for re-hafting. The faces of the axe are worn with scratch marks and the polished surface is faded. The stone is a light greenish brown colour, possibly a volcanic rock originating from the Scarfell Pike area of the Lake District.

Roman incomplete copper alloy T-shaped (developed) brooch (c AD50-160). It has thick straight wings with a cylindrical terminal containing an axis bar. The bow is D-shaped and slightly curved with a panel a paint/enamel in yellow running down the front of the bow. The foot and catchplate are missing. There is a gap at the top of the bow to accommodate a pin (now lost). The object is quite worn and corroded and has a mid green patina.

Incomplete ansate brooch, early medieval in date (c AD700-1000). The brooch is an elongated sub-rectangular shape with slightly flaring terminals and a sharply protruding arch in the centre. The terminals are C-shaped in cross-section, with closed ends and a hollow reverse. The brooch is decorated with a series of transverse grooves, with two bands on each terminal decorated instead with transverse rows of punched dots. Silver cast strap fitting. The fitting is sub-shield shaped with a bar at one end to accommodate a strap. The fitting has a zoomorphic design of two leopards or cats with intertwined tails. Their tails form a loop at the end of the fitting and there is a perforation hole through the centre of the object in between the two animals. Gold gilding traces.

Cast copper alloy mount, post medieval to modern in date (c AD1600-1900). The mount is hollow with a convex upper face and concave lower face. The mount is in the form of a baby in a basket, which is sitting it what appears to be a boat. At the top of the object two projections are present which probably formed a suspension loop or attachment. The object is in fair condition. Subsequent research by the finder has shown this mount to depict part of the 'eagle and child' badge used by the Stanley family, Earls of Derby who held land in the area. Incomplete, copper alloy Roman fibula brooch of Polden Hill or dolphin type (AD43-175). The brooch has very narrow cylindrical wings with a hollow interior to accommodate the spring mechanism, now lost. The bow has an angular D-shaped cross-section with a wide head, tapering down to a point. No remains of a foot, catch plate, or the pin exists. The brooch is in poor condition and is very worn. The object has a light green patina.

A Roman gold finger ring with an oval gem setting. The gem is of a blue glass, possibly nicolo glass, with chamfered sides and a flat, light-blue upper surface. The gem is plain and not engraved. The gold band of the ring is wide but thin at the shoulders, and thickens and narrows at the back of the hoop. The back of the hoop has suffered damage and is distorted with deep scratches. The shoulders are decorated with two engraved swirls on either side.

A cast silver gilt rosette from trumpet brooch. Conical boss supporting a globular moulding on the tip, surrounded by 18 petals and mounted on a circular disc with a crenelated edge. A thick, perpendicular cuboid fitting projects from the centre of the base with two perforations, through which two fragments of circular-sectioned wire are threaded. Upper surface is gilded.
