Copper alloy D-shaped single loop buckle, medieval in date (c AD1250-1500). The frame is D-shaped and complete with a notch for the pin. The strap bar contains a pin wrapped around it and the single copper sheet plate is still attached to the strap bar, with two rivets remaining in the sheeting. Probably a bag or shoe buckle.

Complete cast copper alloy single loop buckle, medieval in date (c AD1250-1450). The buckle is oval in plan with a narrowed strap bar on one side with a worn groove to accommodate the pin. The pin is intact and complete. The other side of the loop has an elongated oval copper piece attached to the frame by a single copper sheet bent around the frame. The buckle is undecorated and in good condition.

Complete cast copper alloy single loop buckle, Medieval in date (c AD1250-1400). The buckle is oval in plan with a narrowed strap bar on one side with a worn groove to accommodate the pin. The pin is intact and complete. The other side of the loop has two lobed knops flanking a thick bar which may have constricted a grooved sheet roller. The buckle is undecorated and in good condition. The buckle is undecorated but has remnants of tinning. Probably a shoe buckle.

The buckle has moulded baluster-shaped ends to the loops, which furnish a notch for the pin (now missing). The object has a dark green patina. See Whitehead (2003), page 78, no. 477.

Complete copper alloy cast double loop spectacle buckle, post medieval in date (c AD1550-1650). The buckle loops are oval in plan, joined by a central integral strap bar. On the outer edge of each loop and at either end of the strap bar is a moulded trefoil scallop design. The pin is complete and wrapped around the central bar. The pin is made of a thin piece of copper alloy, tapering to a tip. The frame is slightly bent but the buckle is in good condition. It has a dark greenish grey patina. See Whitehead (2003) page 65.

The remains of a perforated strap fitting is partially intact which would have held the strap bar (now missing). The edges of the plate are shouldered and two rivets still remain in the plate, though the remains of one rivet hole can be seen. The object has a dark green patina.

Fragment of a cast copper alloy double loop spectacle buckle, early post medieval in date (c AD1550-1650). The object consists of part of the strap bar and a decorative terminal in the form of an escallop. The remains of part of the frame survive coming off from each side of the moulding. Most of the buckle is missing, including the pin and most of the frame. The object has a mid green patina. See Whitehead (2003) Buckles pages 62-71.

The buckle fragment is a single loop sub-triangular buckle with the remains of a snapped and very twisted offset strap bar. The frame protrudes out in a flat trapezoidal shape and includes two linear insets to accommodate the pin. The rest of the frame is thin and bent inwards with snapped incomplete ends. The object is undecorated and has a patchy light green to reddish patina.

Copper alloy cast buckle plate, medieval in date (c AD1200-1450). The buckle plate is sub-rectangular in plan with a bevelled outer edge forming two circular flat protrusions at the two outer corners. The opposing side has a wide recess to accommodate a strap bar. There are the remains of three thick rivets in the plate frame; the central one is lose and bent over on the front of the plate. The back of the buckle plate is in poor condition and only part of the plate survives. There are slight remains of gilding to the front of the plate. The object is very worn and has a light green patina.

The buckle is trapezoidal in plan with two loops to the frame, one of which is mainly missing except for part of the broken frame. There are the remains of lobed knops at either end of the strap bar. There is a large corrosive agglomeration surrounding the strap bar and it is unclear whether any of the pin survives. The buckle is very small and is probably a 17th century spur buckle. The frame is undecorated and is very worn. The object has a light green patina.
