A cast, copper-alloy buckle of Roman military type, dating 2nd-3rd century. The buckle has a D-shaped frame with inward curling terminals, a narrow rectangular neck, and a broader rectangular strap loop. Iron corrosion from the pin is found on the upper and lower faces of the neck, and the base of the pin shaft is corroded in situ on the upper face. This type of buckle is common across the Roman world and has been found at numerous sites along Hadrian's Wall, for example at South Shields.

A Roman mount, 43-300 AD. Petal shaped mount, rounded at one end and gently pointed at the other. A central hole is slightly off-centre and the mount is D-shaped in section. There are scratches and gouges on the surface. The roundedness and the metalwork quality make the piece more likely to be Roman however an enameled example has been dated to the medieval period, though this piece is more tapered at one end: see LIN-9D5607

A cast copper-alloy heraldric harness pendant of Medieval date. The pendant is shield-shape with an incomplete suspension loop at the top of a shank emerging out of the centre of the upper edge. The surface of the pendant is decorated with a coat of arms, of which three enamelled cells are situated above and below a broad horizontal band with a vertical band separating each of the cells. The colour of the enemell is uncertain, but is probably white or yellow. The copper-alloy is very corroded and worn.

Copper-alloy decorated hawking whistle with a zoomorphic projection from the whistle body, which has the appearance of a bird. Features of a beak are visible on the curving terminal with the incised eyes surrounded by a repeated incised pattern indicating feathers. The handle at a right angle to the body of the whistle. Parallels found on: http://whistlemuseum.com/2009/08/13/antique-bronze-whistle-england-medieval-period-.aspx This site attributes the style to the medieval period, however the metalwork and production appear to be consistent with a post-medieval style.
