Incomplete white-metal vessel handle of probable 18th century date. The handle is roughly C-shaped and cast in pewter, with a break at the top and base of the handle, probably the weak points. The handle has a decorated top, with a concave plate that probably gave way to a scrolling extension, though this is now incomplete. The base of this extension, however can be seen abutting a cylindrical shape on the underside with the appearance of a lug, though without any fixtures relating to it. Voided long-cross coin of Henry III, 1251-72, Class 5a3, North no. 991/3. OBVERSE: Crown has a central element composed of three pellets attatched to the main band by lines, and at each end is a half-fleur. The Eyes are round with a central circular pellet within them, and the hair consists of two curls on either side of the face, each with a central pellet. The portrait includes a hand with sceptre dividing the obverse legend of HENRICVS REX/III REVERSE: A voided long-cross divides the central field into 4 segments, each segment contains three pellets. A hand-wrought iron knife, probably Early Medieval in date, but feasibly from any point between the late Roman to Medieval period. The knife is incomplete and is in two parts. The blade has a narrow tang of rectangular section, closer in position to the back of the blade, but slightly offset. Two points with thinner and slightly different corrosion may suggest the position of rivets that would have attached the handle plates to the tang. A cast, copper-alloy buckle of Roman military type, dating 2nd-3rd century. The buckle has a D-shaped frame with inward curling terminals, a narrow rectangular neck, and a broader rectangular strap loop. Iron corrosion from the pin is found on the upper and lower faces of the neck, and the base of the pin shaft is corroded in situ on the upper face. This type of buckle is common across the Roman world and has been found at numerous sites along Hadrian's Wall, for example at South Shields.

Iron head of an Adze, heavily corroded, dating from any point in the Roman to Modern periods. In plan, the adze has a trapezoidal head with a projecting base. In profile the adze is triangular with a gentle curve. The projecting base that fits into a haft is subsquare in section while the main blade of the tool is rectangular in section. The edge is more extensively worn in one corner, and this wear combined with the curvature of the blade indicates that the user was probably right-handed.
