A very worn and clipped Medieval silver Three-halfpence of Elizabeth I (1558-1603); London mint; uncertain initial mark and date. Second Issue, c. 1561-1582. This coin has been pierced through the legend at 'SINE' on the obverse and in the middle of 'LONDON' on the reverse. Most of the detail and legends of the coin are missing due to extreme surface wear and damage; in addition to the damage, the circular punch and a small section of either clipped or torn coin further disfigure its surface. Cf. North 1991 Vol II, No. 2000.
