A Palaeolithic sub-cordate hand axe, Both faces have small area of thin, smooth cortex while one flake has a large 'pot lid' scar (equally patinated and stained brown as the rest of the hand axe). Flakes have been removed from both surfaces to shape the axe. It is an elongated oval in plan, tapering toward a pointed cutting end. The edges of the axe are damaged and worn.
