Complete lead alloy tobacco tin lid of modern date. The lid is moulded into the shape of a Lion's face and is hollow on the reverse. The outer edge still has some straight edges and appears to have initially been octagonal in shape. The rim has a lipped edge on the underside where it fitted onto the base but this has being damaged and is now squashed out of shape. The base of the tobacco holder is missing. The front of the lid is notably worn with some loss of patina.
