A complete post-medieval cast copper-alloy mount, probably a strap mount. It is elongated triangular in shape, with a rounded knop at the wider end separated by a deep groove. The knop has radial grooves, and the main body has similar longitudinal grooves, with one transverse groove near the knop. There are faint traces of gilding in the recesses together with a red residue. The mount is D-shaped in cross-section, slightly bevelled around a median line. A complete Post-Medieval (1500-1700) cast copper-alloy mount. It is symmetrical, each end consisting of a fleur-de-lis. It has two integral prongs, pointed and bent. The mount is complete and in good condition. The mount is 22 mm long and 14 mm wide, and weighs 2.7 g.
