A copper alloy Post-Medieval jetton, Lion of St Mark type, struck at Nuremberg by Hans Shultes I (1553-1584) between 1553 and1559. There is a crack in the flan at 2 o'clock on the obverse. The jetton is 26.6mm in diameter and 0.7mm thick. It weighs 1.95gm.

Obverse: Orb surmounted by cross within a triple arched tressure. GOTT ALLEIN DIE EERE SEI variety.
Reverse: Three crowns alternating with three lis, around a central rose. HANNS•KRAVWINCKLE IN NVR.

A Post-Medieval copper alloy jetton of Hanns Laufer I; Rose Orb type (1607-1632). Please compare to Mitchiner, volume one, page 476. The jetton is 0.95mm thick, 22.1mm in diameter and weighs 1.6g. A similar jetton may be seen on the database at PAS record ID: NARC-1FB295.
Obverse: Orb surmounted by cross within a triple arched tressure. NIMANT KANT EWKERNDIN variety.
Reverse: Three crowns alternating with three lis, around a central rose. HANS LAVFER IN NVRMBER.

A Post-Medieval copper alloy pierced jetton dating from about 1500-1550. It is of the 'rose/orb' type stock, probably with fictitious legends, issued at Nuremberg by an anonymous issuer. The jetton is pierced at 2 o'clock on the orb side, and has a medium-dark green patina. Similar examples may be found in Mitchiner (1988), pages 377-381.

A copper alloy Post Medieval jetton dating from1553 - 1584 and issued by Hans Schultes I. It is a "ship penny" jetton. Compare Mitchiner number 1332 - 1333. The jetton has been pierced and has broken across the hole, so part of the flan is missing. It has a dark brown patina and is worn.
