Oval shaped piece of mid grey coloured flint with dark grey inclusions, the surface of the artefact has about 50% cortex covering, which is smooth in texture and consistent with material from a beach pebble. The right side of the dorsal face has been subject to retouch, removing the cortex to reveal the two tone colouring of the flint, the right margin has a single protrusion coming from the edge above the medial, which appears typical of a piercer of awl. The right margin does appear to exhibit some retouch along it edge but this is intermittent. The proximal edge appears flat as…

A section of flint, translucent brown in colour with dense brown inclusions. The side of the artefact is made up of cortex, smooth in texture, indicating probable beach material. Without the retouch at the distal edn of the dorsal face, this would appear as a half moon shape in plan, the dorsal face is smooth in appearance, the left margin is flat and straight, implying that this was from a pebble that was literally brown in half. The right margin and proximal edge are comprised of a sliver of cortex, wchih only terminates on reaching the distal edge, where it appears to have been …

Small piece of blue/grey flint, dexfribed as blue patination by the finder. The dorsal face is uneven, but not rough in tecture, the right margin has clean sharp edges, until the medial, where the margin becomes concave in plan and reaches a point at the distal. Identification of micro retouch along the curve, until reaching the point of the distal. The left margin sappears to have been backed, by following the surface curvature of the piece. The proximal edges appears sharp as if snapped off, the edges are clean. The ventral face is curved, the proximal edge is more pronounced …

Mottled grey to brown piece of flint with white inclusions, consistant in appearance with material derived from local beach pebble. The dorsal face has a medial ridge running along the centre from proximal to distal, the remaining point is located at the proximal end of the tool, while it appears that there may have been a second point at the distal end which may haven been snapped off then retouched to remove sharp edges. Retouching is present around the curves on both the right and left margins on the dorsal face leading up to both the stub (distal end) and remaining point (proxi…
