The external face bears engraved lettering in crudely cut Lombardic style, which appears to read: I S H [reversed h of N] A - (horizontal 'I' unless a dash) The 'S' being on its side, and the motto may be garbled. There is evidence for a restriction in the frame for a pin (now missing). The back is plain. External diameter 28mm; inner diameter 19mm; maximum thickness 1mm; weight 1.47g.
