Description and identification Decorative gold posy-ring. The hoop is of flattened-D cross-section, and the outer surface is cast with a repeating floral pattern quatrefoils flowers flanked by foliage, inlaid with black enamel. The inner face of the hoop is inscribed with the text: If worthy none So happy, in italic script. External hoop diameter 16.1 mm; maximum band width 3mm; maximum band thickness 0.9mm; weight 1.65g. Description & identification The reported object is a gold ring in the form of a band decorated with white enamelled pentafoils and green enamel inlaid sprigs (indicated by ҂⁕҂) separating letters in the following legend: ne ҂⁕҂⁕҂ el ҂⁕҂ autre ҂⁕҂⁕҂ (in Black Letter script). Description & identification The reported object is a small annular brooch. The narrow silver frame is of circular cross-section. Each face is decorated with four groups of niello-inlaid transverse grooves (8 in each group), in alternating positions. The two sides of the wrap-around head overlap at its top; the head swivels freely on the frame. There is a slight expansion at the junction of the pin shaft and head, and the four facets of the pin shank, which is of lozenge-shaped cross-section, are plain. Description Gold posy ring in the form of a plain broad band of flattened D cross section. The inner face is engraved with legend *CONTINEW + FAITHFVLL  in Roman capitals. The hoop is slightly misshapen and has an internal diameter of 18.1 x 13.1mm; band width 4.1mm; band thickness of 0.6mm; weight 2.73g. Discussion Dating is reliant on the legend and the style of lettering, which is typical of a seventeenth-century date. The reported object is a small post-medieval seal matrix (weight 5.25g.). The matrix is engraved with a motif of a naked male Eros with cherubic face facing forward, holding bow and arrow, shown with one wing and a quiver extending behind the back. The mount comprises a gold baseplate, slightly crumpled, cut to a curved tapering form with a straight wide end, to fit the recessed cell of a (now missing) gilt bronze or silver penannular or pseudo-penannular brooch. The reported object is a small silver annular brooch with niello decoration on both sides of the frame, which is circular in cross-section. The frame decoration comprises groups transverse lines on one side, and transverse bands alternating with engraved crosses on the other, all inlaid with niello.
