Plain gold posy-ring. The thin, slightly misshapen hoop is of flattened-D cross-section, and the outer surface is cast and plain. The inner face of the hoop is inscribed with the text: Wheare this I give I wish to live, in italic script.
External hoop diameter 17.5 x 18.4 mm; maximum band width 2.8mm; maximum band thickness 0.6mm; weight 0.93g. The ring has not undergone any cleaning or conservation.
Conclusions
The same motto Where this I give I wish to live has been recorded on a seventeenth-century enamelled gold posy ring from Old Beaupre, Vale of Glamorgan (Treasure Case 04.13…

Silver gilt finger ring.
The reported object is a silver gilt finger ring, comprising a decorated bezel soldered to the plain narrow silver band of triangular cross-section. The engraved decoration takes the form of a quatrefoil; the hoop is plain. Traces of gilding survive.
The bezel measures 5.8 high x 6.2mm wide. The band width is 2.3mm; thickness 1.0mm; internal diameter 19.7 x 17.4mm; overall weight 1.32g.
