Cast copper alloy button and loop fastener of Wild Class III dating from the 2nd century AD. The object is lentoid in form with a central dome decorating its upper surface. A deep groove runs around the dome. A shaft emerges from the base of the reverse and turns at a right angle to form a triangular loop. The object is in very good condition and has a mid-green patina. A similar example which can be found on the database is LEIC-968A13. It can be dated to the 2nd century AD.

A Roman copper-alloy button and loop fastener of Wild Class VI. The face of the fastener is rectangular with a raised central band decorated with coloured dots of enamel. On either side of the central band are matching zig-zag patterns inlaid with enamel. Yellow, white, red, blue and possibly green enamel is still visible. A triangular loop extends at a right angle to the rear of the fastener.
