A copper alloy probable dagger quillon or guard of probable late Medieval or Early Post Medieval date. The object has a oval sectioned body with iron running through it. Two arms project from one end; they are circular in section and terminate in a spherical knop. The arms of dagger quillons frequently curve towards the blade, the this example seems to be an unusual example having straight arms which are strongly angled towards the blade. A copper alloy penannular brooch dating from the Roman period, about AD 50 - 300. It is a Fowler type A3. The frame is plain with a narrow circular section (2.3mm diameter in section) and expands slightly from the centre to the terminals. The terminals are rounded knops with moulded collars where they join the frame. The separately cast pin is formed from a single thick strip of tapering copper alloy with a simple wrap around hinge. Most of the pin is missing. Compare YORYM-298357 and NCL-BBB6E2. The brooch measures 24.23mm in diameter, 2.55mm in thickness and weighs 2.56g.

The plain frame is circular in section and the terminals are simply bent backwards on themselves with no further decoration. The pin is a strip of copper alloy which is looped round the frame. Four piece of copper alloy chain. The longest has seven links, one has five links, one has three links and there is also a single link. The links are alternate wide bands, like short tubes, and thin oval loops. The wide links on the longest length are decorated with incised lines in pairs at each end of the link. One arm from a pair of copper alloy tweezers of probable Roman date. They are made from thick sheet metal bent into a circular loop with two arms, only one of which survives. There is no decoration on the arm, which flares from 3.3mm wide at the loop, to 8.6mm wide at the end which is probably an ancient break. The arm is cracked and bent. Geake (Finds Recording Guide, page 74) notes that tweezers of this style date from the Roman to Medieval periods. This pair is more likely to be Roman as it is from a site that produces mainly Roman finds.The metal has a smooth dark patina.

A copper alloy probable dress fastener in the form of a wire pin fashioned in a D shape with the terminal projecting at the bottom of the loop. The terminal is in the form of a thin acorn and is semicircular in section. The rest of the object is circular in section, made of thick wire. The opposite end tapers to a sharp point. This object was probably used as a dress fastener similar to a cloak fastener or hooked tag. The acorn motif suggests a Medieval date, but no parallel has been found. A copper alloy Roman knee brooch dating from AD 150 - 250. The plain semi-circular plate head conceals two lateral pierced lugs which hold the iron axis bar and the copper alloy spring of four coils. The pin and half of the spring is missing. There is a deep groove across the top of the bow, which is then bulbous and faceted with three longitudinal faces. The lower bow tapers and then expands for the foot. The reverse of the bow is hollow and much of the catchplate survives.
