A struck copper alloy Roman dupondius of Trajan, minted 98-99. The coin is very corroded and the legend is difficult to read; but it is probably TR P COS II P P reverse type (Abundantia seated lefted on chair of cornuacopiae holding sceptre). RIC II, p 273 no 382, Reece period 5. It measures 26.83 mm DIA x 3.02 mm TH and weighs 8.85 g.
