A copper-alloy post-medieval knife end cap of sixteenth to seventeenth century date. The knife end cap is formed of sheet, is rectangular in plan flaring towards its terminal and 'tear-drop' in section. It is joined by a seam at the point of the 'tear-drop'. This join and that attaching the end to the main body of the end cap may be soldered as they appear a different colour. There appears to be wood remaining within the end cap. A fragment of a copper-alloy medieval strap-end dating to the fourteenth to fifteenth century. The hollow attachment terminal is intact with a single rivet still present. It is rectangular in section with its front face decorated with two pairs of incised parallel lines with zig-zags between. Opposite to the attachment point there is a collar on the front face. A copper-alloy medieval jetton struck during the reign of Charles VII in the early fifteenth century. On the obverse are the letters 'IHS' in the field with a crossed H. The legend reads MISIT DNS MANVM SVAM. The reverse is a Cross pattee with fleurs in each quarter. The legend reads XPC FILI DEI VIVI MISER. See Mitchiner 1988, no. 778. It has been pierced twice with two small holes, close to the edge, at 1 and 5 o'clock on the obverse. The diameter is 26.62mm, the thickness is 0.96mm and the weight is 2.10g.

A copper-alloy medieval jetton struck during the reign of Charles VII in the period 1422 - 1461. On the obverse is the shield of France with three fleurs within. There are elements above and flanking the shield but the corrosion makes these indecipherable. The legend reads '+AVE MARIA GRACIA PLN. On the reverse is a triple-stranded straight cross fleuretty in a 4-arched tressure. The reverse legend reads A V E M. It is similar to those illustrated in Mitchiner 1988, p. 193. The diameter is 25.67mm, the thickness is 1.25mm and the weight is 2.62g.

A copper-alloy roman sestertius of Antoninus Pius struck in the period AD 138-61 (Reece period 7). The coin is very corroded making identification difficult. On the obverse is a laureate bust right. The reverse is a standing figure. Struck at the mint of Rome. The coin is struck on quite a square flan. The diameter is 32.88mm, the thickness is 4.46mm and the weight is 21.26g.

The diameter is 23.71, the thickness is 1.11mm and the weight is 2.35g. This coin is the first of its type recorded in Sam Moorhead's corpus for RIC.

The pendant is 'shield-shaped' and has a perpendicular integral loop with a circular hole. The pendant appears to be undecorated but has been centrally pierced with a small, round hole. A copper-alloy Post-Medieval trade weight datable to the period 1702-14. The weight is circular with a central circle and two concentric rings. The weight has four marks. The first is a crowned A, the second a Sword, the third an Averdepois and the last a Ewer. This indicates that it was made during the reign of Queen Anne in the City of London. It is similar to those illustrated in Biggs (1992), p. 51. The diameter is 41.18mm, the thickness is 6.48mm and it weighs 53.85g.

A copper-alloy Roman conical disc brooch of second to third century date. The brooch has an extensive, hollow central conical projection with three steps and a small central projection. On each step the lip curves outwards. There is a collar to the central projection with transverse grooves. On the reverse there is a complete double pin lug and it contains the remnants of a copper-alloy pin. The catch-plate is broken. A fragment of an Anglo-Saxon cruciform brooch of the sixth century. The fragment is formed of the flat panel with the top of the horse-head terminal. Much of this terminal is missing but there are two protruding eyes and a central ridge. The terminal and head of the brooch have been broken in antiquity but there is much of the catch-plate remaining on the reverse. It is somewhat distorted and discoloured but it is unclear whether this is due to burning. The length is 39.66mm, the width is 12.56mm, the height (including the catch-plate) is 6.72mm, the thickness is 4.50mm and it weighs 9.51g.

A complete copper-alloy decorated spoon of the Roman period. The spoon handle is circular in section and narrows to a relatively sharp point. The 'rat-tail' of the handle extends to the centre of the back of the spoon bowl. The bowl itself is circular and has decoration on its reverse. A small body fragment of a cast, copper-alloy Sompting socketed axe of early Iron Age date. Only a small sub-rectangular section of the main body of the axe survives with the breaks indicating its fragmentation in antiquity. The reverse is plain but the obverse displays remains of two parallel ribs terminating one pellet-in-circlet each. There are parallels in Pendleton (1999), no. 125 and 130. An incomplete copper-alloy bow brooch of Iron Age date. The brooch is La Tene I style and can be dated to between 475 and 275 BC. The bow and a section of the coiled spring are intact but the foot is broken. An element of the coiled spring survives, of roughly circular shape. The bow broadens out somewhat and is of broadly oval section. It is decorated with a curvilinear, scrolling pattern with three conjoined spirals. This decoration has been inlaid with iron, much of which survives, and this marks it out as very unusual. The foor is absent but there is an iron rivet above the break…
