A fragment from a copper-alloy bracelet of late Roman date (c. 4th century AD). The artefact is sub-rectangular with a rectangle with rounded corners form in cross-section. In profile it forms a distorted curve. The bracelet is decorated unifacially using multiple motifs. In profile it forms a very shallow curve, slightly pronounced at one end as a result of old damage. The bracelet is decorated unifacially with six incised lines near the centre of the fragment, creating a group of five transverse ridges. There is a further incised groove and ridge at one of the terminals from a second such panel. The rectangular zones between are flat and plain. It bears comparison with a panel on a bracelet i…

A fragment from a cast copper-alloy bracelet of late Roman date (c. 4th century AD). The artefact is elongated and sub-rectangular in plan. In profile it has been bent upwards at one end and downwards at the other, distorted from its original curve. The bracelet fragment is decorated unifacially with four moulded panels, rectangular in shape with faceted corners. Between these is a lower zone of low ridges (four or five) divided by transverse incisions. It bears comparison with a bracelet illustrated in Crummy (1983, 44; 1721). On the lower surface at one end is a tab under the brace…
