An incomplete copper-alloy single-loop buckle dating to the Medieval period, about AD 1250 - 1350. It is of Meols type 11. The frame is sub-oval in plan with bowed sides. The outer edge is expanded and thickened, with a central recess for a sheet roller. There is decoration of the front face of the outer edge of the frame and the roller in the form of four thick longitudinal grooves and five transverse grooves, leaving the front face gridded. A copper-alloy single loop Medieval buckle probably of Meols type 6 dating from about AD 1250 - 1350. The frame has an expanded outer edge moulded into a rod of circular cross-section, but it does not have any transverse grooves which are a characteristic of Meols type 6. The sides are curved and there is a recessed and offset strap bar. The buckle has a mid green patina.  Length 13.1mm, width 14.7mm, thickness 2.5mm, weight 1.4g There are numerous examples on the database including SWYOR-CB4693.

A copper alloy artefact, possibly a fragment of a swan-necked carrying handle from a Roman helmet dating from AD 100 - 300. The surviving part is a curved rod of copper alloy, oval in cross-section. It is wide (8.7mm) at the broken end, and curved in a U shape while tapering to a recurved terminal knop which is almost complete. It has a green/brown patina. It is 39.9mm long, 31.8mm wide and 10.5mm thick. It weighs 22.9g. Compare examples of helmet handles in Chapman (2005) Military Equipment in Wales such as Qd01, Qd03 and Qd11.
