A cast lead spindle whorl of Early Medieval date, about AD 850 - 1000. It is of Walton Rogers form A1. It has one flat face and one domed. It is 25.4mm in diameter and 6.9mm high. It weighs 29.4g. There is a central, circular perforation of internal diameter 9.1mm. Spindle whorls of this type are illustrated in Walton Rogers, 2007, Cloth and Clothing in early Anglo-Saxon England, page 25. Form A1 whorls are thought to date from AD 500 - 1000, but the size of the central hole suggests a late Saxon date.

An incomplete and probably unfinished, cast lead pointed oval seal matrix dating from the Medieval period, about AD 1200 - 1400. It is a pointed oval shape in plan (vesica shaped) with a short rectangular projection at one end. It appears to have been mis-cast as there is a strengthening rib on the reverse but no suspension loop or handle. The matrix face is uneven but does not appear to have been cut with any design or inscription. It is 37.2mm long, 20.9mm wide and 6mm thick. It weighs 19.6g.

There is a concave circle in the centre of the plate which has corroded through leaving an irregular hole. An unidentified, copper alloy artefact of unknown date, Roman to Post Medieval, AD 43 - 1700. It is a strip of sheet copper alloy, which is broken at both ends. The long edges are gently curved so the strip is wider in the middle. There is a near right angle bend near each end. These are probably original, because the decoration on the centre of the strip stops short of the bends. The decoration is a pair of simple wide longitudinal grooves. The strip is 13.5mm long, 6mm wide and 6.6mm thick. It weighs 0.4g. It has a bright bluish green patina and is smooth and glossy.

A fragment of a copper alloy Roman brooch, a headstud type dating from AD 75 - 200. Only the head of the brooch survives and it is very corroded. It has plain wings with a tubular housing behind for the axis bar. The hinged pin is missing. There is a very worn integral headstud on the top of the bow. The lower bow is broken, so only two recessed cells for enamel survive. They appear to contain red and blue enamel.  It is 16.6mm long, 11.9mm wide and 6.6mm thick. It weighs 3g. This brooch appears to fit into Mackreth's (2011) headstud group 4.
