A lead brooch of Weetch's type 4.C, dating to the early medieval period, c. AD 900 to 1000. The object was originally circular and flat, but it has been folded and bent, probably through post-depositional processes. The back of the object has the lugs and pin catch which would have formed part of the mechanism. The pin is missing. A fragment of a copper alloy brooch of Early-Medieval date (AD 450-750). The retained portion of the brooch is sub-spatulate in plan and flat in section. The edges of the object are irregular and corroded due to old breaks. The face of the object retains a single, circular, raised cell. The reverse of the object retains the majority of the projecting, rectangular lug which forms the catch for the now missing pin. An incomplete copper alloy trumpet brooch dating to the Roman period. The head of the brooch is missing. At the apex of the bow there is moulded decoration which is enclosed by a collar at each end. There is a central collar with a border of raised pellets either side. The decoration runs all the way around the brooch. A simple and heavily abraded Trumpet brooch dating to the 2nd century AD. The brooch has a flared, trumpet head with a loop to hold the hinge mechanism. The brooch then tapers away from the head and curves to form the bow. There is unclear moulded detail at the peak of the bow from where it tapers to a point. The foot, catchplate and pin are all missing. Similar examples are listed in Hattatt 1989: 328.
