A Medieval copper alloy limoges figurative crucifix mount, probably dating to c. AD 1150-1250. The mount is cast into a depiction of a robed figure, stood facing. The body consists of a sub-rectangular plate with rounded shoulders and a concavo-convex cross section. It is decorated with a series of longitudinal recessed cells which would have originally contained brightly coloured enamel inlays, now lost. The body plate is perforated at either end of the longitudinal median line. A three-dimensionally moulded depiction of a human head projects from the apex of the mount, with details…

A Medieval copper alloy strap fitting, a bar mount, probably dating to c. AD 1100-1500. The mount consists of a central domed circular boss, with a concave reverse and sub-rectangular lugs projecting from either end on the longitudinal axis. Both lugs are perforated and retain a separate copper alloy rivet. The central boss is decorated with a triple-stranded band of incised transverse lines. Length 13.5mm; Width 8.3mm; Weight 1.10g. cf.
