An unidentified copper alloy object of unknown date.  The object is similar to the end of a  broken chisel (being thin and wider) at the possible "sharp" end.   It then becomes significantly thicker  and wedge shaped towards the other end which appears to have been broken.  However, there is no evidence that it has been cast and it could be waste metal that was folded over on itself and discarded.  The surface (grey/green patina) is rough and undecorated. Dimensions:  Length 44.6mm, maximum width 21.1mm,  minimum width 1…

Uncertain object, possibly a terminal from a modern, 18th-19th century pastry jigger. The remains of the object consist of the top-end with some sort of punching or decorating tool, which is solid cast, followed by a hollow conical 'handle' or body. The tool at the top-end has six pointed sub-triangular shaped knops, which are generally sharper than the usual crimped tool. The hollow conical 'handle' or body is also unusual, in that many jiggers from this period had slender solid cast handles or would have fit into another component rather than accommodating the component; a small …

A fragment of an unidentified object of unknown period, possibly modern. The object consists of a horn-shaped hollow cast segment of either tin, tin alloy or perhaps a thin sheet of lead alloy, with a resin-like material filling the inside of its hooked form. The moulded decoration on the outside of the object is formed of three consecutive tiers following the overall curved shape of the fragment. The style of the decoration seems to be similar to items in the Art Deco style of the early 20th century; however, this could be a coincidence. The metal is dark grey to chalky white in …
