This style of standing weight seems to have been used most frequently within the Med…

A Medieval or Post Medieval uniface lead alloy token, c. 1250-1800 AD. The token is in excellent condition and decorated with a finely-detailed sexfoil flower, a central pellet and one pellet spaced evenly between each petal. A post-medieval cast lead alloy token, c. 1550 - 1800. One side of the token bears the relief-moulded uppercase letters 'HW' above what appears to be the number 26. The other side has a stamped letter 'F' in negative relief. Lead tokens were easy to manufacture and widely distributed; they are therefore difficult to date precisely, but those with letters and accompanying numbers are generally thought to date to the post-Medieval period. This is the second of two nearly identical tokens found in the same findspot area; this example is larger than the other.

A very worn cast lead cloth seal of probable post-Medieval date. The object comprises two flat circular discs joined at the top by a rectangular connecting strip and held together by an integral rivet that extends from disc one through the front face of disc two, where it is flattened. It is only possible to see what looks like an 'I' or 'T' on one face. This is a worn lead cloth seal of uncertain type. The worn legend is unfortunately too poorly preserved to enable a close identification of the full original text, a problem also encountered with the central motif. It is entirely …

A Medieval or Post Medieval cast lead alloy circular uniface token. Powell Type 30. The token is decorated on one side with five pellets arranged with four forming corners of a square with the fifth pellet roughly in the centre. The reverse surface is flat and undecorated. Lead and its alloys are very easy to work and tokens were often locally produced; therefore they are difficult to date and tokens with simple designs had considerable longevity. There are dated generally from c. 1250-1800 AD.

A worn and corroded Post Medieval cast lead alloy uniface token. Powell Type 2. The token is sub-circular in plan and on the front face are the initials 'EE'; with the first 'E' in retrograde and the second conventionally oriented. Alternatively the initials could read IE where the 'I' has a short central transverse ligament. The reverse side is plain with a raised periphery. Lead tokens of this form have a wide date range but those with initials generally date from c. 1550-1800 AD.

A Post Medieval cast lead alloy bi-faced token, dating to c. 1500-1850 AD. Due to the wear on both surfaces of the token, it is difficult to determine what is depicted and hence, a positive identification of Powell Type is unlikely.
